Create is the theme of the day...
Just finished this baby, it says CREATE, painted it off white and put red and turquoise polka dots all over it :D So cute. When I finally get a craft room of my own this is going to be the colour scheme!
Finally something for the boy!
You would think that me being crafty I would make heaps of cute things for my 18 month old son to play with, but no he has to settle for all my trials of things I attempt to make, you should see his toy box, there are sad elephants with no faces, a sock n glove dog with his head not straight and no face, poor kid, anyway I have finally made him something, mind you he can't really play with it.... :S
Its an "N" for his door. When we finally move and he gets his own room we will be decorating it with a jungle theme. Hence the giraffe and the lion, der! LOL?
Please ignore the glue smudge near the giraffes neck, its annoying the beejesus out of me, but will have to do... HOPEFULLY no one will notice it when its on the door.

A Wand using a kaiser star coaster and piece of dowel, i'm going to paint it pink and put pink, purple jewels and ribbon to decorate it.
I am also going to make her a little head piece, with ribbon
and contemplating doing wings and an appliqué top with some sort of princess reference.

Damn Damn Damn!!!
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Gocco (プリントゴッコ, Purinto Gokko?, "Print Gocco") is a self-contained compact color printing system invented in 1977 by Noboru Hayama. Gocco became immensely popular in Japan and it is estimated that one-third of Japanese households own a Print Gocco system.[1]
Using flash bulbs similar to those found in old cameras, an original image is thermally imprinted on a master screen.
The name "print gocco" is derived from the Japanese word gokko (ごっこ, gokko?), loosely translated as make-believe play. Riso Kagaku president Noboru Hayama explained, "We [as kids] learned rules and knowledge through make-believe play. The spirit of play is an important cultural asset. I thought that I wanted to leave "play" in the product's name."
In December 2005, Gocco’s parent company, Riso Kagaku Corporation, announced it would end production of the Gocco system due to low sales in Japan. An Internet campaign was started to find a new home for the product.
As of June 2007, Riso Kagaku Corporation had resumed production of several lines of Print Gocco units and they were available in Japan and through limited import retail stores in the United States.
On May 30, 2008, the Riso Kagaku Corporation announced that it will stop shipping Gocco printers in June 2008. They blamed the sharp decline in demand for their printers on the increase in use of home computers and printers. They will continue producing supplies for the printers until further notice. Information provided by the Japan Corporate News NetworkI couldn't remember if this is what I had been seeing around being used by Elsie to make her cute little prints. But of course it was and it had everything in it, including paint!!!!
Gah I could kick myself! :( It didn't have a price on it but can't imagine it would have gone for much. Ah well off to trawl Ebay.

My first paying job!
As the title states, I did my first paying job! It was for a lovely mummy-to-be for her forthcoming baby shower's.
It is the same as the kitchen tea invites (see below) with a bit of tweaking here and there.
I am hoping this could turn into an ongoing thing, I would love to be able to earn money from doing creative stuff. Anyway, I loved doing these and can't wait for the next job!

Thought I would show off a card I made Dad for Fathers day last year I think. The technique is call tea bag folding (I think) and the paper is Japanese paper, not sure of the make. I think it turned out ok, I used some gold trim to make the obi.
