Moving announcement and quillow!

Do you know what a quillow is? I didn't until a couple of weeks ago. For those who have been living under a rock with myself a quillow is a quilt and a pillow in one! When its open it looks like a quilt but if you fold it a magic way it folds into self and makes a pillow! All be it not the most comfy of pillows but a pillow non the less :D

And for those who totally didn't get the name, its QUilt & pILLOW :D





I also whipped up a "were moving" announcement card for a friend who is leaving Melbourne is a short few weeks :(

I have taken on the zipper and survived!

I put it off long enough, but I have finally concurred my fear of sewing zips!



They aren't perfect but not bad for a first attempt!
I need to get myself a zipper foot tho, I thought I had one but apparently not!

Some more things for the store, I had a busy and productive day yesterday! Although it doesn't look like much but it took me all day to find the pictures, edit them in photoshop and then trace and cut out the fabric.

Logo development

Beck at baby laila asked me to create a logo for her new store at oz.handmade.com

She was pretty open to ideas and colour scheme although she wanted to incorporate cherry blossom in it.

Here's what I have come up with so far .

Sorry they are small.

I am really happy with them, I borrowed the branch from a wall decal design I found on google, and the bird is a picture I also found on google.

This is purely for snitz and giggles so don't stress, not stealing to gain anything :D
